About Me

I make art to celebrate the world of shape and form that I see everywhere around me. I see the beauty in how shapes and space relate. My goal is the translation of space and form into a common language to which everyone can connect. I have no expectation as to what message you get from viewing my work, I believe that there is something for everyone to experience and I look forward to hearing what it is.

I always strive to keep my work visually simple. My goal is for the pieces to resonate at first impression. My hope is that seeing it initially is one experience and going in closer and dissecting it is another. While communicating visual relationships is my initial goal, creating sculpture will inevitably result in compromise. There is always some situation that requires a depature from the plan. In those situations I try to let the piece speak for itself. This moment is what I like best about art. Connecting with a pieces energy; understanding what it wants to be, and that is the artistic process for me.
